These two are quite a pair...usually together, usually have a lot of fun together like a couple of bear cubs. Sam often has little brother Jacob on the back of his saddle and they ride off into the sunset together...until I make them come home because it is too late for two little turkeys to be out in the dark.
This is one of my favorite photos of Sam on his horse Charlie. The photo shows the older boys on their horses heading for the end of the pasture and Sam is passing them. That is Sam every day of his life...keeping up with or passing his older brothers. He is so strong and capable and believes he can do anything they can do and he is their little buddy. Sam is in kindergarten at age 5 in this photo.
